The guy behind the pseudonym BIT FATHER OUT is a wanderer - spatially as well as musically. One who crossed the Americas, parts of Africa, Asia and our tiny Europe. But he stubbornly calls Berlin his home - one of the rather rare original Berliners, spirited away in his monolithic microtopia of the inner city.
Where quiet diverse tracks emerge, influenced by things heard, seen, and picked up on journeys far and wide. It often starts around a beat sample, a drum'n bass fragment, a voice recording, or a reed-like, immersively undulating sound surface made of moogs and granular synthesis...
This sound montage evolves into structures that feel more like rivers - streams of consciousness?
In the end, after some minutes, the listener is flabbergasted, how he emerged in a completely different setting, with several rhythms simultanously, a darn unexpected experience.
The title of this first BIT FATHER OUT album is fitting: anima L - latin for „soul“ or „breath“ and, according to Jung, the "female soul force" in our subconscious.
An all-embracing, fierce current, emblematic for the broad understanding of music that we cherish here. Constant change and morphed shape-shifting carry the most diverse items just to marry them anew. This feat perhaps fascinates the most in BIT FATHER OUT, who, by his own words, describes
himself as: „a caretaker laying down a sound patience“.
Outsider music as you will rarely stumble across.
